Virginia mist Stone is a kind of tectonic rock formed by volcanic erupting lava in a molten state under considerable pressure and uplifting to the surface of the earth’s crust.
The color is pure black base with white veins. The magma does not spray out of the ground, but slowly cools and solidifies underground.
What is more, Virginia mist granite has compact structure, hardness , acid and alkali resistance, weather resistance, and can be used for outdoors for a long time. The characteristics and advantages of granite also include high load-bearing capacity, compression resistance and good grinding ductility. It is easy to cut into sizes, and can produce thin tiles. It can be made into a variety of surface such as polished, honed, flamed, bush hammered, Leathered, sandblasted. When doing leathered on Virginia mist, it is called Virginia Mist Leathered Granite. It is mainly composed of quartz, feldspar and mica. The content of feldspar is 40%~60%, and the content of quartz is 20%~40%. They are normally used as pavers, steps, pedestals, risers, cornices, especially used for outdoor wall, floor, cylindrical decoration.
